If you have a bigger project to finish, it’s important to get a bid on the project for what it’s actually going to cost instead of what you think it’s going to cost. If the budget is tight, get the bid on a smaller project instead. Most handyman services in Mason offer a set price for the entire project. But this won’t work if you’re painting inside your house to change the color of your walls.
This means that your paints won’t match, and this could have easily been solved by shopping around for a few different colors at your local paint stores. When you’re having a project done, go to the center of your home (not your kitchen or bathrooms) and draw the project on the ground. This area is going to be the easiest for your helpers to get to. Be detailed and include the number of supplies and how large the project is going to be. And ask the estimate to include everything you want, such as the nails you plan to use, tape, and whatever else you need.
The best time to get the estimate is the day before you have the project. So if you start a painting project a week ago, you won’t get anything on the estimate until that weekend.
This is where you get all the bids. Shop around for bids and plan for the best estimate. Then, you can come back to that estimate with a few favorite bids. And don’t be afraid to ask if they can bring up a bid before you plan on buying the supplies. If you’re not going to go with the lowest bid, ask if they can bring you a quote, or they might just be honorably trying to help you out. Ask if they’re willing to sell you the supplies at a good price.
